Position Summary:

The Sr. Software Engineering Manager, Intraoperative Neuromonitoring is responsible for managing the activities of the software systems development function, software applications development function, and a software quality assurance function for software enhancements and new products.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, manages, recruits, and directs activities of software development team
  • Creates and maintains product software architecture
  • Writes product software documentation
  • Provides project management and technical leadership for all aspects of software development
  • Manages lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, evaluation, testing along with delivery to product management
  • Prioritizes work to identify the root cause and creates a corrective action plan that ensures timely reolution of issues
  • Establishes and leads software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software
  • Works closely with engineers, developers and Product Management throughout organization to influence product development assisting or improving products
  • Manages resource allocation to assure attainment of business and development goals
  • Manages and executes software development projects from beginning to finish
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
  • Proficient understanding of software product design and development with object-oriented languages
  • Strong proficiency in .Net C# in a Windows and/or Web environment
  • Experience programming in C/C++
  • Experience in Qt is a plus
  • Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Ability to manage and direct a team
  • Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to the role

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and TDD
  • Requires 6+ years of leading Software team
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
