Job Description
Wage Range: $128,460 - $205,545 per year
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary:
The Controller oversees and directs the Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll, functions within the Accounting Department. Oversees the proper accounting of all financial transactions and accumulates, records, analyzes and reports financial information to management and provides necessary financial reports to external reporting agencies. Initiates strategies and goals within the department to ensure these functions are integrated in a way to achieve the highest standards in program quality and productivity, patient satisfaction and financial management. Sets policies and procedures to ensure internal controls within the department.

Primary Duties:
- Oversees the financial services including general accounting, accounts payable, fixed assets and payroll functions in support of the functional and strategic goals of the organization.
- Primary responsibility for financial controls and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards.
- Responsible for the timely presentation of accurate monthly financial and statistical reports including sufficient review of all reports by the Director of Financial Reporting and Chief Financial Officer.
- Serves as the primary contact and coordinator for all agencies who perform financial audits.
- Provides direct support to financial planning for budget and responsibility reporting.
- Organizes and plans the overall workflow of the accounting department which includes the general ledger, financial reports, auditing, payroll, and accounts payable. Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED for the position:
* Bachelors degree in a related field
* 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
* 5 years of accounting experience (health care preferred)
* Working with financial information systems required (i.e. general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets experience).
* Analytical skills necessary to implement, maintain and enhance the financial systems.
