Summary

Use quality measurement devices to measure, gage, or otherwise determine compliance to dimensional standards and prepare appropriate reports to document the product compliance. Function is primarily performed through the setup, programming & operation of the CMM. Position is also responsible for maintaining quality & safety standards and maintaining equipment & supplies.

Responsibilities

1. Program, setup, and operate Hexagon CMM equipment & other quality measurement devices.

2. Maintain accurate records and documentation.

3. Review results for accuracy and adequacy. Identify and segregate any nonconforming products.

4. Work with quality, engineering & production to resolve issues and assist with root cause & corrective action.

5. Troubleshoot and edit CMM programs to adjust for revision changes, improve program efficiency. and c::1c.;c.;ur c::1c.;y of results.

6. Document and perform first article inspections via AS9102, or other standards as required

7. Coordinate with contracted programmer as required

8. Maintain equipment by completing required calibration, preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions and working with service when necessary.

9. Complete other Quality Projects as assigned.

10. Serve as inspector in areas other than CMM as required.

11. Work with machinists, production operators, engineers, metrology techs and mechanical inspectors, programmer(s) to determine part and fixture designs.

12. Regularly mentors, trains and may lead and/or oversee work of others.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.
