Position Title: Banquet Server

Business Unit: Banquets

Position Reports to: Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain, Bar Lead

Location: Crystal Mountain, Washington

Wage Range: 16.50 - 18.00 + tips DOE

JOB SUMMARY

  • A Banquet Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests at venues or catering events. The Banquet Server will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests during banquet events, ensuring all guests' needs are met in a timely and professional manner.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests during banquet events, following recipes and proper pouring techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Set up banquet room as instructed by the Banquet Manager to include table settings, buffet lines, and decorations.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about the menu.
  • Adhere to all state and local alcohol service regulations, ensuring responsible beverage service.
  • Clear tables and clean banquet room after events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
  • Communicate effectively with banquet team members and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Work closely with the banquet team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist with bar setup and breakdown before and after events.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Bar Lead, Banquet Captain, or Banquet Manager.
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management. Notify supervisor and/or security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items or alleged thefts.
  • Attend all staff meetings as required by management.
  • Protects the organization, members and guests by adhering to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies, including Washington State Health and Liquor Department regulations.
  • Act as a representative of Crystal Mountain with guests & community members.
  • Abide by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold a valid M.A.S.T. Class 12 or 13 Permit (Washington state serving license)
  • Must hold a valid Washington Food Worker Card (Health & Food Safety)
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in Food and Beverage, preferably catering


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Able to manipulate a full-size keg of beer (~160 pounds)
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
