Position Title: Banquet Set Up Crew

Business Unit: Banquets

Position Reports to: Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain, Set Up Lead

Location: Crystal Mountain, Washington

Wage Range: 16.50 - 18.00 + tips DOE

JOB SUMMARY

  • We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our Banquet Set-Up Crew. The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Banquet Set-Up Crew Members will be responsible for setting up banquet rooms according to event specifications, ensuring that all furniture, equipment, and decorations are in place for a successful event.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Set up banquet rooms according to event orders and diagrams, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
  • Assist with the set-up of audiovisual equipment, lighting, and sound systems as needed.
  • Arrange furniture and equipment in a neat and organized manner, ensuring all items are properly aligned and secure.
  • Work closely with the banquet team to ensure timely completion of set-up tasks.
  • Respond to requests from event organizers and staff to make adjustments or additions to the set-up.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and equipment.
  • Assist with breakdown and cleanup of banquet rooms after events, including removing furniture, equipment, and decorations.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain or Event Coordinator.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold a valid M.A.S.T. Class 12 or 13 Permit (Washington state serving license)
  • Must hold a valid Washington Food Worker Card (Health & Food Safety)
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in Food and Beverage, preferably catering


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Able to manipulate a full-size keg of beer (~160 pounds)
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
