Wage Range: $16.50 + Tips

Job Summary

Servers are responsible for serving food and beverages to guests. Their duties include greeting guests and taking their orders, bringing them the correct drinks and dishes, bussing tables and refilling their beverages as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Set up for daily service including dishware, glassware, silverware, linens and other amenities according to daily procedures and Restaurant General Manager's direction.
  • Serve food & alcohol within the laws of the Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board and Washington State Health Department.
  • Clean equipment and serving utensils, as well as maintaining clean tables and server stations.
  • Stock supplies & prepare backups as appropriate.
  • Establish pre-function side work to be performed and make sure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition, notifying Restaurant General Manager of any issues.
  • Use and understand Points of Sale.
  • Know the menu that is to be served and be able to explain the major ingredients, preparation methods for each item to be served, and pairings as appropriate.
  • Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests by anticipating the needs of our guests.
  • Serve and bus courses in a timely manner, checking in with your tables often.
  • Determine when a guest should not be served additional alcoholic beverages in accordance with Washington State Liquor & Cannabis board.
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management. Notify supervisor of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items or alleged thefts.
  • Assist in resetting tables during and after service.
  • Attend all staff meetings as required by management.
  • Protects the organization, the members and the guests by adhering to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies; including but not limited to Washington State Health, Liquor Department regulations, and the Center for Disease Control.
  • Develop and maintain an organizational culture, values and reputation with staff, and guests.
  • Ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant and cooperative work environment.
  • Act as a representative of Crystal Mountain with guests & community members.
  • Abide by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold a valid M.A.S.T. Class 12 or 13 Permit (Washington state serving license)
  • Must hold a valid Washington Food Worker Card (Health & Food Safety)
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in Food and Beverage
  • Basic knowledge of P.O.S. systems.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 30 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Able to manipulate a full-size keg of beer (~160 pounds)
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
