Job Description
We are seeking a Controller to direct the financial activities for our Seattle, WA unit.

Essential Functions
• Prepares and reviews monthly financial statements.
• Responsible for preparing annual budgets and forecasts
• Analyzes and prepares weekly Flash Forecast of sales and expenses
• Directs all accounting functions and processes
• Directs all locale accounting staff.
• Reconciles General Ledger in SAGE
• Ensures procedures are followed for proper account coding and prepares journal entries
• Ensures reconciliations of the GL, Billing, and Inventory ledgers
• Ensures updates are processed in Fairs Billing Database (prices, flight master, etc.).
• Implements procedures and internal controls to ensure integrity of accounting records
• Conducts analysis on food costs and costs of goods sold
• Provides guidance and financial counseling to the unit General Manager.
• Participates in Process Improvement initiatives
• Mentors and trains accounting staff
• Continuous weekly and monthly forecasts for revenue, labor hours, labor dollars and variable costs, Period P&L.
• Review financial data to recognize crucial variances, identify underlying causes, and initiate corrective action(s) to support Operations and sales group(s).
• Actual vs. Budget and Forecast variance analyses including explanation of weekly and monthly variances for: Food and product costs, Labor hours by department, Overtime by department, Labor costs by department, Wage rates, and Operating costs by line item.
• Ad hoc analysis when required
• Track inventory movement by customer, including those related to scrap, excess, spoilage and / or obsolescence.

Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum of a B.S. degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have organizational skills, be detail orientated and be able to multitask
• Must have good communication skills, both written and oral
• Manufacturing experience and/or Food Processing industry a plus
• A minimum of 5-10 years broad-based Financial Management
• Excellent financial management and leadership skills

• Effective employee relations skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically in Excel
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and report out cost drivers and / or saving opportunities in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve in an environment where root causes may be complex

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Hours of work are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
