Description

• Perform work in accordance with established safety policies and procedures
• Able to comply with all work rules, standards, instructions, and requirements set forth in each production area before commencing work
• Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace which provides a positive influence on all workers and represents Central Garden & Pet in a positive manner
• Must be able to work well with coworkers, be flexible, and be willing to perform a variety of jobs, as well as maintain good housekeeping and a clean work area
• Be able to carry out the above responsibilities, and all others that may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Companys Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy

• Must have an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments, and responsibilities of the job
• Must be able to read, analyze and interpret documents relating to the job, function or assignment by making decisions when identifying in-process problems, and the ability to deal with a variety of job assignments
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

• Full-time position requires employees to stand, walk, sit, lift, and use their hands frequently while performing their duties
• Must be able to bend over, reach with hands and arms, as well as lift 20 to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a work shift
• Operations are heavily seasonal, with the spring season being the heaviest, beginning in December and January then peaking in June
