Job Description

Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Proposal Specialist to provide firm-wide coordination of proposal and qualification packages in Redmond WA, or Portland, OR. Our flexibility and core value of relationships allow us to offer employees the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment including working from the office and remotely.

Salary: $30.00-$41.00/hour (based on experience)

Who You Are

A proactive and experienced Proposal Specialist with an AAS or BA in Marketing, Communications, or other related field, and 5-15 years of experience providing proposal and presentation coordination and marketing support in the AEC industry.

Knowledgeable: Proven ability to understand and communicate technical information in written and graphical presentations. Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop) required. Involvement in organizations such as SMPS is preferred.

Experienced: Experience with federal government procurement process preferred, i.e. SAM.gov. Experience writing and editing content. Experience in general business/professional/office, knowledge of A/E/C industry and RFP process. Experience with Deltek VantagePoint preferred.

Motivated: Ability to handle quick turnaround requests in a fast-paced work environment with poise and maturity while balancing overlapping no-fail deadlines and changing priorities. Enthusiasm and ability to continuously improve processes. Passionate about professional growth and ongoing skill development. Highly organized, self-motivated multi-tasker.

About the Position

This position involves supporting marketing and proposal efforts by developing and maintaining materials such as resumes, project data sheets, service profile sheets and marketing graphics for internal and external branding initiatives. The successful candidate will research, write, edit, and proofread content for proposals and review RFQ/RFP requirements to ensure submittals comply.
