Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I Global Labor Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering data center capacity for core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. By enabling data center capacity through increased Infrastructure Utilization Effectiveness (IUE) and Power Harvesting (PH), you will lead the In-Fill program enabling fragmented capacity for our customers in our existing fleet. Responsibilities Manage the global trade labor forecasting process, including consultation with internal and external stakeholders, to determine Regional, Sub-Regional and Metro level requirements to support large datacenter construction projects. Partner with internal Supply Chain professionals to develop trade labor forecasts based inputs from General Contractors. Establish a robust process for gathering and analyzing market data for Building Trade Capacity vs Demand in a Region and required compensation. Work with the Local Union and Non-Union Trade Contractors to develop plans that support project level trade labor forecasts Develop executive connections with National and Local labor relations boards and Regional Leadership that will enable relationships necessary to enable attracting and retaining trade labor that meets project requirements.Develop and make recommendations for Executive level review and approval that support project level trade labor forecasts Work with Metro level project teams, including General Contractors, to implement approved plans to attract and retain trade labor for projects. Maintain and review trade labor reports to ensure that forecasted vs actual labor meets project needs. Review General Contractor Site Logistics plans for projects, including offsite parking and worker transportation plans, lunch areas, walk times and site amenities to maintain trade labor at forecasted levels.
