About the team:
We are a highly productive global team consisting of customer journey advocates, CRM strategists, and CRM operational programmers. Our primary objective is to connect pet parents with pet sitters and dog walkers. Beyond that, we develop strategic customer centric go-to-market plans to engage and retain our pet parents and sitters.

The Lifecycle Marketing team is responsible for enhancing the customer messaging experience across email, mobile, and web, contributing to the overall end-to-end customer journey and experience.

Who we're looking for:
Rover is seeking a Sr. Manager of Lifecycle Operations & Programming to lead our scalability and efficiency efforts with our Lifecycle programs to help increase engagement and conversion of our customer base. This role will create strategic visions and roadmaps and lead various customer journey projects with a strong focus on Lifecycle Operations and Programming, omni-channel strategy, customer centricity and innovation. They will work closely with the Lifecycle Marketing strategy team & stakeholders to define project scope and plans, and guide teams to deliver quality and on time through effective communications, risk management, and day-to-day oversight of projects. They will be responsible for managing and coaching a team of three direct reports.

As part of the role, you aren't intimidated by juggling multiple projects and have sharp attention to detail; nothing slips through the cracks on your watch. You are an adept problem solver and cross-functional communicator. You enjoy working with high-energy, goal-oriented individuals and are constantly seeking opportunities to learn and hone your marketing skills.

This role will report to the Sr. Director, Lifecycle Marketing

Responsibilities:
  • Build strategic roadmaps, operational efficiency plans, project plans, technical specs and work with other teams to ensure that Lifecycle programs can be effectively executed
  • Introduce new lifecycle tech features and address any gaps brought up by third-party and internal audits
  • Be the program manager for system migration needs and system contracts by working with 3rd party vendors, Lifecycle, Procurement and Product teams
  • Enforce Lifecycle SLAs and partner with product and operations teams to effectively go-to-market
  • Manage and coach a team of programmers and operation specialists to develop and launch Lifecycle Marketing campaigns
  • Partner with the Lifecycle Strategy leads to forecast operations capacity based on requirements, content forecasts and campaign calendars
  • Manage the customer and prospect list health, monitor deliverability, troubleshoot issues and collaborate with partners to stay compliant across contracts, internal policies and international regulations
  • Collaborate with analytics teams on quarterly greenlight process and work with them to help automate reporting, build dashboards and deliver daily, weekly and monthly insights
  • Stay on top of new technologies, standard methodologies and competitive insights to provide recommendations on new technical solutions or system/tool integrations as they align with our goals
  • Define and improve conversion & efficiency rates across email, push, sms, in-app metrics by working with teams on system and operational best practices
  • Work with Marketing on cohesive processes for better team efficiency
Required Skills:
  • 7+ years of Lifecycle and/or CRM experience with a concentration in operational management.
  • Experience in creating operational roadmaps that engage and convert audiences
  • Track record of implementing successful scalability and efficiency plans that have helped increase business goals.
  • Experience using a large ESP (Iterable preferred).
  • Customer focused and ability to create customer journey maps.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize concurrent projects, find innovative ways to resolve problems, and move projects forward.
  • Strategic competence and partnership skills are a must.
  • Experience defining, tracking, and analyzing resource efficiency and marketing campaigns.
  • Effective communication skills across the organization. Excellent at building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keeping up to date on current lifecycle marketing trends and standard processes.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation:
  • In Washington State outside of the greater Seattle area the first-year salary range is $139,482-182,724. Additionally, Rover offers benefits to full-time employees.
  • The cash compensation offered for this role will be dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and abilities as demonstrated in the interview and hiring process.
