Explore the natural beauty of Kirkland Parks this summer. Co-lead outdoor camps for ages 5-7 and 7-10 in two amazing park settings. Guide and inspire children to appreciate their natural surroundings. Uncover the magic of bugs and animals, flowers and trees, various forms of weather and bodies of water through art, science, and exploration. Children are naturally inquisitive, just think with your leadership and encouragement you could inspire them to be the next Alexander von Humboldt (1769-1859), a naturalist and explorer considered one of the most influential figures in the history of natural sciences.

Hours of Work
5 hours per day, 9:30am-2:30pm, 4 days per week from June 24-July 18. 6 hours per day, 9:30-3:30pm, 4 days per week from July 22-August 15. Training days and times will be scheduled the week of June 17, details to be confirmed. After hire, but prior to camp start, there will also be hours allocated to plan the weekly activity schedule for summer, and to procure supplies as needed. During camp sessions attendance is extremely necessary for all staff positions. Day camp staff are seasonal positions that support a mandatory staff to camper ratio. There is very little opportunity for scheduled days off other than Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Working Conditions
Performs work in an outdoor park setting (shelter provided). Exposure to extended periods of direct sunlight and/or cool and damp weather is possible. The job requires frequent light lifting (5-10 bs.) and infrequent heavy lifting of up to 50lbs.
