Job Description

eRisk / Cyber Account Executive - Remote and Local to California. Work from home is possible, but must be accessible to California agents/brokers.

Crum & Forster is seeking an Account Executive for the eRisk team within the Executive Risk group located in one of their Western locations. The candidate will work in a team setting to underwrite Technology E&O, Cyber insurance and other professional liability products.

What you will do:

    Generating, underwriting and analyzing Technology E&O, Cyber and other professional liability insurance lines of business.
  • Market facing and production within the Executive Risk Division.
  • Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules.
  • Developing and maintaining agency and broker relationships, primarily in the west - California, Oregon, Arizona.
  • Maintaining, organizing and updating files.
  • Participate in training and initiatives to develop knowledge base.
  • Complete projects and other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to C&F:

  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years underwriting /brokerage experience with professional or management liability insurance products; experience with Technology Errors & Omissions or Cyber insurance is preferred.
  • Established broker relationships in Western US highly desired.
  • Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs-analysis and win-win negotiating.
  • Demonstrates strong presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation.
  • Possesses knowledge of time management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively assess risk. Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to function effectively in team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs and the ability to learn new applications.
  • Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F's risk management controls
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain California Surplus Lines Broker's license required.
  • Some travel required.

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $75,200 to a maximum of $125,300. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
