The Global Value & Access Oncology team at Novartis has an exciting internship opportunity.
Deliverable: Product reimbursement strategies for up to 3 emerging markets: Work will be based upon global access strategy, existing reimbursement strategies developed for the top-9 priority markets and a framework developed for emerging markets. Intern will need to contact and collaborate with market access teams in selected emerging markets (potentially including cluster and/or regional product leads) to understand their health care system, channels of market access, their specific evidence needs and timeline requirements in order to support the development of a country specific reimbursement strategy for product. It is expected that the intern furthers the connectedness of selected markets with the global team and global strategy, thereby supporting an accelerated market access for product.
Deliverable: Aligned regulatory approval and reimbursement timelines Intern is expected to collaborate with the regulatory team (DRA) to map regulatory approval timelines to expected reimbursement approvals in major markets, identify misalignments or gaps in timelines and highlight to the global team opportunities where access to product might be accelerated through improved coordination between the regulatory and reimbursement plans.

Minimum requirements
1.Excellent communication skills in English
2.Experience in communicating in/with other cultures (high cultural intelligence), preferred in/with emerging markets
3.Strong presentation skills, among peers and to senior leaders
4.Ability to engage a matrix team
5.Fluent in MS Office applications (Word, PPT, outlook, etc...)
Preferred Competencies/Experiences
6.Background in project relevant area, e.g. Public Health / Pharmaco-economics / Health systems research / health policy etc.
7.Basic understanding of market access requirements
8.Fluent in second language, preferred from emerging market (can impact selection of market(s) to work with)
9.Prior working experience in a large company, preferred Pharma
